Sookmyung Women's University hosted the '2021 Sookmyung Open Campus' online through Zoom for students who are interested in applying for SMWU, parents, and teachers on August 28. 'Sookmyung Open Campus' was held inside the campus every year, but due to the COVID-19 situation, it has been conducted online both last year and this year. Last year, students were able to experience 12 majors through YouTube videos, which included lectures by professors, capstone design course lectures, and school life as experienced by college students. Unlike last year when the program was not able to proceed in real-time, this year, it happened live through Zoom. For students participating in the program, it consisted of two sessions. First, there were lectures exploring majors with professors and SMWU students, and, second, lectures with information about university admission were held. The major-specific lectures consisted of a preview lecture of majors, information on department activities from students enrolled in the department, and a Q&A session. The lectures included 6 majors: Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality Management, Entrepreneurship, Political Science & International Relations, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Systems Engineering, and Statistics. Of the six departments, students were able to select the department they were interested in. The admission lectures consisted of guidance on admission for 2022, comprehensive evaluation of student records, and a Q&A session, providing practical information. The program was only available to those who had applied in advance by August 20 through the SMWU Admissions Office's website. When participating in more than one major exploration lecture or participating both in major exploration and admission for 2022, SMWU brochures and Noonsong goods were sent to the students.
