In September, Sookmyung Women's University Library hosted the "Library Academic Information Use Education" program. This program is designed to help students effectively use academic information such as library collections and subscription materials. Since it was divided into undergraduate and graduate courses, it seems that students were able to learn the appropriate content for them. Three one-hour online information sessions aimed at undergraduate students took place on September 6, September 17, and September 28 through Zoom. All three sessions contained the same content, so students could choose their preferred date to take the course. In addition, there was no restriction on the number of applicants, so any student interested in using academic information could take this program. The training was conducted by Park Hyojoon, a librarian of the Sookmyung Women's University Library Academic Information Management Team. Park began by mentioning the difficulties and inconveniences that students may experience when searching for various academic information on a portal site. She also introduced the advantages of using a library website and recommended the use of the integrated library search service. She moved on to explain how to search for books and degree papers owned by SMWU on the library's website. She introduced domestic academic DB sites, which are helpful for assignments. She also compared the characteristics of each academic information site. Finally, she directly accessed each site and helped students understand better by showing them how to find papers through the use of keywords. One anonymous participant said, "I often refer to papers when I do assignments, so I think I will be able to find the necessary academic information as a result of this program." This program was a useful time for students to learn how to use academic materials.
