SMWU's Job Plus Center prepared 'Winter Vacation SM Career Navigation' lecture. The lecture provides information and preparation methods about various career fields so that students can plan out their careers during winter vacation. It was held for sophomores after applications were made on the SNOWAY website. This lecture, which was conducted through Zoom on February 15, showed that the "professionalism" of employees, which was considered the most necessary talent in the workplace, is changing into "a sense of responsibility". This suggests that properly setting one's job goals is important in accordance with changing job trends. According to the lecture, students should aim for jobs based on their interests, aptitudes, and career values, and for this purpose, they were advised to take psychological tests and check career guidelines for their major provided by Worknet. Also, it was emphasized that career goals should be created by actively searching for information on companies or jobs. Through this, students will be able to effectively prepare for employment by understanding the recruitment and trends of the job they want. The lecture explained the fields of personnel affairs, marketing, financial accounting, IT development, process engineering, quality control, and design, as well as the necessary capabilities to help students identify jobs in various fields. It also stressed the importance of showing one's competence through activities such as certificates, clubs, contests, and internships to choose the job. Regarding the lecture, Kim Haena, Division of Business Administration '21, said, "I didn't know there were so many kinds of jobs before taking the lecture, so it was meaningful to hear about various jobs, and it was beneficial to know what skills were required for each." Through this lecture, many students were able to understand various jobs and some ways to prepare for employment.
