A two-part Campus Employment Camp was held by the Institute of Career Development. The first camp was held on August 6th and 7th while the second ran on August 12th and 13th. At each camp about 30 students on a first come, first served basis participated. The camp was aimed at educating students about essential capabilities for employment, employment goal setup, document preparation, interview tips, image making, and leadership ideals for today’s global person. Park Juhyun, the person in charge of the Employment Camp stated, “In addition to Sookmyung Women’s University students, students at other universities had lower overall employment rates than in 2013. To provide supplementary help for students seeking employment, we provided the programs.” Kim Mijin, former team leader of Wilsonkorea, was also invited the SMU to help students prepare for open recruitment during the second half of the school year. Every vacation, the camp is help and student satisfaction and participation are high. Ryu Jieun, College of Law ’10 who participated in this year’s said, “Student prepare for employment with little information. I participated in the camp to get more information, practice for an interview, and to attain feedback on my letter of self-introduction. It was very helpful for me.”
