On May 12th, a mentoring date opportunity with a number of professors was held at the square in front of Queen Sunheon Building from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To participate in the event, students submitted an application prior to the event and ‘date’ their desired professor. Before the meeting with professors, students watched the movie ‘Untouchable’ at 10 a.m. During the movie, students enjoyed popcorn and various kinds of cookies. Upon receiving a cookie-gift pack, students and professors headed to the arranged parasol covered seats to enjoy an after of chitchat that covered all topics from study to future career. Chung Kyeonghee, Student Services director, said, “Through the program, students gain invaluable experiences with professors. Students can narrow perceived gaps with professors; also, they obtain career information as well so they start to consider possible careers early in life.” This program is held annually, so students get this great opportunity to ask questions and talk with professors every year. By participating in this program, students were able to talk leisurely about university life and about possible career opportunities with their professors as well as plenty of advice.
