On September 1st in Gemma Hall, a short briefing session was held, followed by more specific exposition on September 2nd at the Global Lounge. The exposition provided plenty of comprehensive documentation, talks, and other details on Sookmyung Women’s University international exchange programs. On the first day, students learnt about exchange student programs and double majoring as well as international internships. On the second day, students returning from an exchange program came to the gathering to share their experiences and participants were free to ask questions from former exchange students to get answers to any unresolved issues they may have had about joining an exchange program. Bang Soojin, Department of Statistics ’16, said, "I have been interested in participating in those programs for some time, so I came to this event to learn more and gain some insight from former exchange students.” Because a huge number of students were interested in Sookmyung Women’s University exchange programs, the question and answer session was lively and lengthy. Kang Soyoung, Director of the Program from the Office of International Affairs, said, “Because students have complained about not being more informed about the numerous international exchange programs. We decided to hold a brief information session and host the event over 2-days to ensure all questions and curiosities would be answered and as a means of recruiting more applicants.” In addition to the 2-days event, the Office of International Affairs regularly provides information sessions on international exchange programs for its Sookmyung Women’s University students.
