Could you please tell us about your fashion style?
I don’t limit myself. I wear clothes that I like. After anti-corset movement, I cut my hair and stopped wearing makeup, skirts, and high heels. I prefer non-revealing clothes, wide pants, and sneakers. Today, as you see, I’m wearing a navy-colored suit to present a formal and calm look. The suit is not formfitting, and there is no distinct cutline. A formal suit doesn’t necessarily mean a woman must wear a skirt.
Would you give Sookmyungians a few shopping tips?
Personally, I don’t follow any specific pattern, but to give a few, the most important thing is to show confidence when changing your fashion. I think style or one’s aura is created. If you like comfortable clothing, wear outfits that are comfortable. It’s my hope that Sookmyungians don’t tighten their corset due to outside forces. I chose to rebel against media’s idea of femininity to gain a true vision of myself. I hope Sookmyungians break society’s corset and express themselves through their clothing.
