SMU is trying to promote the welfare of the Sookmyungians. From July 13 to 30, a shower room for students which has two shower baths was built on the 4th floor of the Student Building. Also, from July 3 to September 6 the cafeteria was renovated and extended 100 square meters. While lots of Sookmyungians have used the Cafeteria, its size was not large enough to admit most students in lunch time, so SMU decided to not only extend it but also gave a new look to it. In addition, during the month of August, dressing tables were furnished in the bathroom of the Myungshin Building and bidets were also installed. Yang Sae-na in the Department of Chemistry 06’ said “I am really pleased to hear the news that a shower room was built and the cafeteria was renovated. I think SMU had thoughtful consideration to students’ welfare. Students will enjoy a more comfortable school life.”
