From February 1 to 6 in 2010, SMU held culture exchange camp in campus with 20 students of Ha Long Bay gifted high school in Viet Nam. The camp offered Korean culture experience programs such as cooking Korean food or playing Korean music. To help these foreign students, leadership groups Buddy, Ambassador and Sookmyung Korean Education Volunteers participated in the camp and tutored them. An Minho, Chief in Korean Cultural Institute of SMU, said, “This camp is a part of extension to open positions to students of talent internationally. Especially, as SMU is establishing Sookmyung international campus in Viet Nam, the camp help to increase friendship with Viet Nam students. Through participation of Sookmyungians, SMU can obtain chance to cultivating Korean Specialist at the same time.” Before long, SMU has planned to increase this international exchange programs for cultivating talented students from Viet Nam to Africa.
