Save Money from Second-hand Book Market

Sookmyungians’ second-hand book market was held on March 8 and 9. This event was held by student unions at the crossroads in front of the Sunheon Building from 11 AM to 5 PM. From last Monday, student unions advertised this event on the Internet and received books from students who wanted to sell. In this market, there were about 250 books and many students came by looking for their text-books. Every book had a paper tag on its front, and on the tag, there is the name of the book, the seller’s major, the student number, an askingprice, and the year they bought the book. This paper tag is for returning the money from the 43th SMU student Government (REAL SG) to each student after this market. Ha Eun Kyung, the vice-president of REAL SG said, “Individually dealing second-hand books is possible of course, but this market was held to help students to deal more easily at a cheap price. Many students participated this year, but I hope there are more various kinds of books.” Also, Kang Ra Yoon, freshman of Biological Science said, “The price of the books is a bit more expensive than the price I found at Cheong-pa market.” The second-hand book market is an event started from 2009, and is going to be held in the second semester, also.
