The Sookmyung Career Development Center held a Career Clinic for Sookmyungians who were preparing for the first half year’s open recruitment of major companies. This Career Clinic started on March 11th, 2013 and will continue until April 5th. The Career Clinic is one-to-one counseling between one student and one outside consultant, so students can get more detailed information and advice from consultants. For providing a better counseling environment, the Career Development Center offered the Career Counseling Room located on the second floor of the Student Union Building. SMU opened this counseling program for students’ better preparing for careers. Therefore, the expense of this program was free for students. Instead, students who wanted to participate in this program needed to be fast in applying, because it was provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, the principle of this program was a one-student, one-time clinic. The Career Counseling Program took into account personal resumes, so it could provide more attention to the students who participated, and consultants could tell more direct advice and information to students. One consultant said, “This counselling is proceeded with student’s real resume. So I can give more individual and detailed advices. ” And a participator of Career Development Center said, “Because more students than expected applied to this counselling program, we will make more nice programs for our students. ”
