Before the heat wave left, there was the unique scene of the graduates who wore special caps and gowns at the end of August. It is what is called ‘Cosmos graduation’ because the graduation ceremony is the autumn, when the cosmos are in full bloom.
The commencement ceremony for the academic year of the latter term of 2006 was held on August 24 in the Grand Auditorium. After President Kyungsook Lee delivered her address to the graduating class, the conferment of a degree started soon. This time, 27 students took doctorates, 405 students took master’s degrees, and 575 students took bachelor’s degrees. They pledged themselves to be national leader in each sector of our society who possess qualities of Sookmyung S Leadership.
