From September 11th to 26th, Sookmyung Women’s University filmed its new publicity video.  It was supervised by the Public Relations Department and shot against the buildings of SMU.  The publicity video was recorded with the aim of introducing Sookmyung, especially during official events such as signing up Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with the foreign firm, establishing sisterhoods with other foreign schools and endorsing during visitations by honored guests.  The video focuses on Sookmyung’s 100 year traditions and its leadership in society both domestically and internationally, which were redefined in the school’s new proclamation, SM Global I Promise.  Head of Public Relations, Koo Hyojeong said, “We tried to highlight environmental innovations and our SMU student body, something not fully done in past publicity videos.  Also, we emphasized SMU’s foundation—it’s establishment by an imperial family in Korea.”  Unlike previous videos, which enumerated the school’s vision and its programs and facilities, the new video introduces the school using the voices of school members.  Participants in the video include students and alumnus: Yoon Haeji, Park Dongeun, and Lee Gumhee, and a number of exchange students.  The video is scheduled to be released to the public near the end of October.
