Lighting Event for Sookmyung Snow Festival

Sookmyung Women’s University had lighting ceremony on November 13 at 6 o’clock.  The event started with a performance from Sookmyung Gayageum Orchestra.  Then President Kyungsook Lee addressed the audience, “It is true that our university is expecting winter because of the beautiful night view of the university.  Moreover our local community said that they look for winter of Sookmyung.  I want us all to keep a warm mind during the freezing days of winter.”  As after, President Kyungsook Lee, a student leader, and some university officials turned the switch and bright light gleamed on the university.  The gathered people hailed with acclamation and were delighted at the scene. 
The 6th Sookmyung Snow Festival will continue from 1 November to 31 December.  With the lighting event, Sookmyung Women’s University has planned many lectures, performances, exhibitions and events.  If you want detailed information, you can get a brochure or check the Sookmyung Homepage.
