Looking for a New Adventure

Since a young girl, I have loved books.  In particular, I was addicted to ‘hero’ stories such as 'The Arthurian Legends', 'The Lord of the Rings', 'Harry Potter', and 'Odyssey'. Heroes gave me hope and led me to a fantasy land.  Even now, I am still enthralled by fantasy adventure stories.  I would dream of being swept away by some mystical means and becoming the ‘hero’ in the book, but sadly, no fairy visited me in my dreams.  Instead, I grew into fear.
As I got older, I realized that every day is a series of adventures that I must face.  Each day, I found myself meeting new people, visiting new places, and attending new events, which all affected the development of who I am.  Surprisingly, at 22 years old, I became the Editor-in-Chief of The Sookmyung Times.  This is a huge life event for me.  Hyuna and Minji, friends I hold dear to my heart, have retired from The Sookmyung Times.  They devoted 2 years of their university life to SMT and did their best right up ‘till their retirement.  The Sookmyung Times is going to say farewell to them and greet new faces. I am skeptical of my ability to perform well all the duties and responsibilities of an editor-in-chief, but I know what must be done.  Luckily, I have reliable crews beside.  We will think critically, write with integrity, and have faith in each other.  This is a new challenge that I am ready for.
In the Game of Thrones, the line "Winter is coming" appears.  While the storyline of the series suggests a bleak future and coming disaster, the future is never certain.  I do not know what the semester holds for us, but just as the heroes in novels I read as kid overcame adversity, I will enjoy the challenge and see it as an adventure.  The start a new semester brings us all new adventures.  They are both frightening and exciting, so always keep in mind the idea that "After Winter comes the delight of Spring!"
