On February 17, 2009, an entrance ceremony and orientation about leadership groups was held in Olympic Park. Although the weather was cold, many freshmen and leadership group members participated with great interest. In this orientation, many leadership groups such as the Sookmyung Times, Sookdaeshinbo, NiViS, Sookmyung Ambassadors, and Sookmyung Scholarship Volunteers participated. Kwon Ye-ji, who enters Sookmyung Women’s University (SMU) this year, said “It was a very useful experience for me to learn about the many kinds of leadership groups in SMU. I could ask about the group I was interested in and they gave me detailed information. I want to join one of the leadership groups when the new semester starts.” Kim, of the Department of Business Administration, said “More chances to introduce leadership groups and their activities to freshmen is needed to make them take part in many groups.”
