Broaden Your Experience with the Abroad Program

In 2009 winter vacation, more various abroad exchange programs were presented. SMU provided these programs and awarded scholarships to all participants. The Office of International Affairs said, “From 2009, SMU is increasing oversea interchange programs. Many students can experience foreign culture and these experiences become good careers.” Participants who are selected students delegated to sister universities such as the Hong Kong Polytechnic Universtiy in Hong Kong, Yunnan University in China, or Deakin University or Griffith University in Austrailia. The delegated students can learn foreign language and culture. From January 4 to 22, 2010, the Winter Beyond Borders Program was also held in SMU. This program offered experiences of Korean culture to foreign students. Debating Korean issues, and making Korean food with Sookmyungian helpers, the foreign students understood about Korean culture.
