Enlightenment from the Yongkungsa

Just before the beginning of the school day, I traveled to Busan.  I went various places; for example, marketplace, the PIFF (Pusan International Film Festival) square, baseball-park, and temple.  Among them, the most impressive place was the temple 'Yongkungsa.'   In there, I could see lots of phrases carved on rocks.  All of them were touching phrases, but one of them came home to my heart.  "If you want to know your past, look what you are taking now.  look what you are doing now."  This is the phrase which touched me most, and also this is a quote from scripture. Usually people hope to be good without thinking what they did past, and so do I.  However, what I can achieve in the future is what I am working now.  Sweet future does not come without your effort.  This is reasonably expected thing, but we often forget about it and just wish for luck.  In October, there are mid-term exams.  Do not just wish for good results.  Be well-prepared for it and get a big smile Sookmyungians!
