Starting on October 7th, a Career Fair was held at Sookmyung Women’s University for eight straight days. On the first two days, students were able to consult with experts about studying abroad, job placement, and the teacher certificate examination. In particular, there were eighteen types of majors that linked to careers featured at the fair, so students from a variety of specialty fields could get advice and information. One of Sookmyung student, Lee Jisun, Division of Child Welfare & Studies '13 said, “Each booth had different characteristics and gave us [students] a great chance to learn about many fields. We could get one step closer to determining our future.” Since there were a lot of experimental projects related to practical business, most booths offered hands-on activities such as engaging in eurhythmics for kids and learning about educational technology. During the same 8-day Career Fair period, Mentoring Day was held for six days. Many experts visited Sookmyung Women’s University to lecture about their specialty area. Experts included a visit from an advisory committee from DongA daily, which introduced aspects of multimedia. Kim Sanghyun, a representative from The ASK Ltd, was also present and lectured about the area of finance. Most mentors were from a variety of specialty fields, so students had an opportunity to realize and attain different kinds of specialty knowledge.
