The September magazine of The Sookmyung Times has been published. A new semester has begun. Did Sookmyungians have a good summer vacation? It seems like yesterday that we broke up saying "Carpe Diem", but time goes by quickly. It is surprising that autumn is coming soon.
Sometimes, time flies so fast that I feel uneasy. Time and tide wait for no man, so I always think about whether I'm doing the right thing at the right time. I worked hard all the time not to be left behind, especially compared to people of my age. One day, however, I realized something is wrong. If I continue every day like this, I will have a breakdown because I can't fit other people's clocks. Therefore, we need a custom clock to manage our time, which tells us what we have to do. People can create their own lives through these clocks that are completely tailored to each other. So why don't you concentrate on making your own clocks, when you feel you are lagging behind? Little by little, you will be able to find your own pace.
It's September. It's a good time to start something, but half of the year has also passed. Someone may be achieving what they said earlier this year, and someone else may not even have started yet. But it doesn't matter. I hope Sookmyungians will live in their own time. Because the clock always works even if it's a little slow. Then, let's greet our new semester again.
