The Center for International Affairs & Cooperation hosted a briefing session and fair about the Sookmyung Abroad Program (SAP) on March 2nd. The event is held every semester to provide interested students with detailed information about going overseas to study at a foreign university. The event took place at the Samsung Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. An instructor from the Center for International Affairs & Cooperation talked about SAP in detail, and after the talk, students were invited to the study abroad fair at the Global Lounge on Campus II. The event invited students who had had previously been on exchanges overseas to come and present. The students talked about life and study in various countries including Japan, China, Singapore, the United States, and Canada. Won Yoojung, Department of Chinese Language & Literature' 15, who joined the presentation about Minzu University of China, said, “I’m currently preparing for the SAP program, so I joined the event to learn more insight and get some tips about the area and the university I am hoping to attend.” Beside the typical information everyone may obtain from a simple internet search, invited presenters recounted their personal experiences in the SAP, something no internet search can provide. Choi Soyoung, the instructor from the Center for International Affairs & Cooperation, said “For those interested in the programme, a SAP briefing session is held twice a month in the Global Lounge, which is located right next to Snow Café.”
