On November 1, the College of Fine Arts held its Graduation Exhibition at Cheongpa Gallery in the Renaissance Plaza from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The exhibition was done collectively with five other departments and ran from October 10 to November 25. It was carried out in the following department order: Industrial Design, Environmental Design, Visual & Media Design, Fine Arts, and Arts & Crafts. Besides viewing works of art, visitors were given complimentary stickers and memo pads correlated to individual pieces on display. The exhibition was open to Sookmyungians as well as the general public, so family and friends were welcome. One visitor, Jung Seoyeon, Department of Public Relations & Advertising ’18, said, “Seeing students’ works, I realized that there is so much talent on campus. Personally, I wish each of the graduating students who have works on display here achieve greatness in their life.” Like Jung, other visitors were amazed by the magnificent displays, and some of those visitors even left bouquets of flowers and chocolates for the artists. Manager of the exhibition, Chung Heejin from the Department of Visual & Media Design ’18 said, “I have been to a number of exhibitions for my department studies, but it’s my personal opinion that this is really one of the best I’ve ever attended. I’m not just saying this because it’s our school’s exhibition. The displays were incredible, so visitors would have surely been impressed that they made by Sookmyugians.” As Chung claim, the exhibition will leave visitors with a sense of pride and warmth for the effort shown by soon-to-be graduates of Sookmyung Women’s University.
