Foundation ceremony of The Sookmyung Times and Sookdae Shinbo

On November 3, in the Hansangeun Lounge in Centennial Hall, a ceremony was held to mark the 53rd anniversary of the foundation of the Sookdae Shinbo, and the 38th anniversary of The Sookmyung Times. During the ceremony, awards were also presented to the winners of the advertisement contest and the Sookmyung literature contest. “From this contest, I hope that every years students show more unique idea.” Professor Han Gyu-hoon, Public Relations and Advertising and a judge of this contest, said. President Han Young-sil sponsored the invitation of alumnae who work in the journalism field to build up the network between alumnae and students. She emphasized the importance of journalism on campus, saying “To raise Sookmyung’s reputation, the entry of alumnae into journalism must be actively supported,” and she also encouraged organs of expression within Sookmyung. In this ceremony, UCC image, made by student editors in Sookmyung university, was screened which contains student editors message to director professor or other editors.
