Sookmyungians, it’s May. Koreans call May the month of family events. You are very busy in preparing for one’s days and several celebrations. Maybe, those bother you. However, I am sure May will bring you pleasure soon. And, best of all, May will be a tonic for your close relationships and your important people. Talk, play, love with your family and friends. Lay down your burdens like diets, assignments, TOEIC scores and employment for a season. Meet your people who are neglected on the pretext of your busy schedule. Then tell them, “It’s been a long time. How’s it going?”
The severed wood from the root will die, no matter how gigantic the tree may be. The severed flower from the branch will dry and fall soon, no matter how gorgeous it may be, and you can’t expect fruits. The same applies to you. It is impossible for you to exist alone. It’s my story I have learned from bitter experience.
The name of the month of May came from the word Maia, the eldest of the seven Pleiades, mother by Zeus of Hermes, also identified with an Ancient Italic goddess of spring, growth and reproduction. Appreciate May and improve your relationships. Have time to recharge yourself and grow up higher and further. I hope you will be a real May Queen. In May, TALK, PLAY, LOVE!
