The Women ROTC Cadet Recruitment Explanatory Meeting was held in Centennial Hall on March 23. The meeting opened with a video clip about the history of women soldiers started from the Korean War. After the video, one of the ROTC members began a presentation and said, “I am very proud of being a member of the ROTC. If you get to be a member of the ROTC, you guys are also in a historical event. As you see in the video clip, women’s army crops has very long history from Korean War.” In this meeting, about 40 students participated, and President Young Sil Han also came to introduce the ROTC and encourage them to participate in the ROTC. Many students seemed very excited to get information about the ROTC and so promoted to join the ROTC. “This presentation was very informative. In fact, I had little interest in the ROTC, but after the meeting, I have more concern about it and I’m so stirred to be a member of the ROTC now,” said Kim Jungeun, the School of English ’10.
