It’s already September 2011. I cannot forget when I first came to Sookmyung Women’s University (SMU), but now I am spending the second semester of my sophomore year. Also, after a year and a half, I became the new editor in chief in The Sookmyung Times and writing a letter to Sookmyungians. How was your vacation? Did you achieve what you planned? Reading books was the most important thing than any other thing that I planned before summer vacation. Therefore, I tried to read more than one book a week, and I could read lots of books which I couldn’t read during the semester. For example, I read the Harry Potter series in English before the last series of the movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow 2 opened. September is the season for reading. For that reason, many people got themselves all fired up about reading books. Also, The Sookmyung Times made a new corner which deals with books “Bookhunter.” Throughout this corner, we will introduce rewarding books in English. Not just introducing, but also we will give something to think about in the book, too. “How many a man has dated a new era in his life from the reading of a book,” said Henry David Thoreau. Accordingly, why don’t you read various kinds of books and acquire new prominence and value?
