Events which introduced Sookmyung Women’s University’s clubs and departments were held from the 11th to the 13th of March. Many booths were set up on the way from the gymnasium to the Myungshin Building . A lot of clubs participated in this event as a means of public relations for freshmen. In addition, students could visit a charity bazaar which was held in front of the Sunheon Building .There were various performances from MAX, DESTINY, NIVIS and other university’s clubs. Kim Jee-Ae, a student of culture and tourism and also a member of Hanulsum, said that, “Numerous freshmen took part in events, but there weren’t as many as I expected. However, doing these events was much more helpful than just attaching a poster on the bulletin board.”Kim Se-Hee, the president of the student government MUV, said, “We projected this event because promoting clubs had not been accomplished well before.It was organized separately. Other universities already do this kind of event, so we planned to create the opportunity to introduce all our clubs simultaneously. Also, we tried to make the atmosphere of our university in March more of a festival mood, because March is the month when everything starts.”
