Just like everything comes to an end, the last article of our 90th group of reporters at The Sookmyung Times has been published. How did you spend your 2023? Are you finishing the things you planned to do at the beginning of the year? I'm also curious about what this year with The Sookmyung Times has meant to you.
When I first joined The Sookmyung Times, I wasn't very good at English, and it was my first time writing an article in English, so there were so many things I was afraid of. As we published our articles month by month, sometimes I would feel baffled and despair at the problems I didn't expect, but in the end, I didn't give up and continuously tried to put together articles for our readers until the end.
One reason behind all these efforts was that I wanted to deliver great articles to readers, but the biggest reason was that I wanted to fulfill my responsibilities without shirking them. I would also like to thank Ji-won and Hyo-jung, 90th group members, for not giving up in the face of many difficulties.
I don't know if I have been a good leader, but I can assure you that I have been one of the people who loves The Sookmyung Times and Sookmyungians. Now I'm back to being a reader, but I'm glad I was able to bring some comfort to you, if only for a little while.
Endings seem to make us cherish every moment more, and this end makes me think of you more fondly. I hope this winter is not too cold for you. Take care of yourself, and remember one thing:
I'm always on Sookmyungians' side.
