On October 9, a social gathering was held in Samsung Convention Center of Centennial Hall. The events were held in the following order: opening address, introducing SMU’s vision, a Question and Answer session, and a review from President Kyung-sook Lee. When introducing her new vision for SMU, President Kyung-sook Lee explained specific qualities of S Leadership.
After the address, deans from 8 departments including Division of General Affairs, Information & Communication Affairs, Academic Affairs, Admissions, Student Affairs, Planning Affairs, External Affairs & Development and Library answered questions from Sookmyungians. During this time, a wide range of problems were solved such as the time the new dormitory buildings will open, about the number of exchange programs and specific plans to promote S Leadership.
Also, President Kyung-sook Lee introduced a new project SMU is planning—the Well-being building. She said that it will help Sookmyungians to get strength—which is part of S Leadership. After answering several questions from Sookmyungians, President Kyung-sook Lee closed this event saying that SMU would do the best to satisfy Sookmyungians.
