On September 8th, Sookmyung Women’s University hosted the Insahae Job Seeking Festival at Hansangeun Lounge in Centennial Hall from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Insahae is the name of Sookmyung Women’s University’s alumni association, members of which are human resource officers in companies such as CHANEL, KT, NIKE, and so on. Lee Eunsil, the person in charge of this program and a staff member at the Institute of Career Development, said “The objective of the Insahae Festival is to help Sookmyungians get help from experts in the field of their desired careers.” The festival opened three separate sessions to help Sookmyungians get needed advice on job hunting. The first session was full of guest lectures by invited Insahae members on career strategies for foreign affiliated and banking agencies. After lunch, during the second session, other Insahae members introduced their companies and presented recruiting plans. During the third session, all participants from the second session were given the chance to arrange individual meetings with guest lecturers. Kim Yubin, Department of Chinese Language & Culture ’12, said, “It is not easy to find a job, so any opportunity to get advice and learn tips from experts in the field, especially human resources, is a gift. I am thankful to the school for giving me this chance.”
