On March 7 and 8, the festival to introduce clubs in SMU, Heollumjae, (He means ‘sun,’ ollum means ‘rising’ and jae means ‘festival’) was held in the square in front of the Queen Sunheon Building. Starting with the performance of NiViS (cheering team of SMU), several clubs performed and introduced their own clubs. The 43th SMU Student Government (REAL SG) prepared various events such as OX quizzes and the battle to connect the words on the stage. They also held other events such as a cross word puzzle, a picture puzzle in the booths, and a group jumping rope contest. Although it was cold, a number of clubs’ members in SMU came out and did their best to introduce their clubs. Kim Hye Soo, ’11 Japan Studies said “It was a nice time because I could ask something I wanted to know about SMU easily and the seniors gave good attention to us. I felt the passion of SMU from Heollumjae.” The federation of university club had another event to attract freshmen’s eyes. The gifts were given to those who earned stickers from all the booths by listening to their introductions.
