I love that you get cold when it’s 71 degrees out,
I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich,
I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you’re looking at me like I’m nuts,
I love that after I spend a day with you I can still smell your perfume on my clothes, and
I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night.
- Movie, When Harry Met Sally

Are you in love?

When did you fall in love?  Do you remember the moment?  If you are in love, what makes you love him?  To continue love, what kind of things do we need?  In love, what do we lose or get?  Can you answer these questions above?  Here is a exhibition singing about love.

Shall we love?

Life’s greatest happiness is to be convinced we are loved.
- Victor Hugo

Some say that love makes us live.  Love is a beautiful thing regardless of any condition.  People who fall in love feel that the whole world works for them like a romantic movie.  Love is an unusual thing and gives us special experiences which never occur to people who do not love.  This is why people are excited about romantic movies.  This exhibition does not show us how to start love or make us more attractive to the opposite sex, but lets us know how our lives could be changed if we were in love.

“Only one thing can make a soul complete and that thing is love.”
- Movie, The Reader

Why do we love?

Love does not give us only beautiful and happy things.  There are pain and tiresome things as much as the sweetness.  In reality, there are lots of hard situations to love like in the romantic movies.  We are not in front of the Eiffel Tower or so romantic restaurant always.  There are always various obstacles that make our perfect love-story ruined.  We are not perfect robots in every relationship, so it is not an unusual thing to be tired and bored between lovers.  It may make you very awkward, and finally you give up all the process of love.  Then, you question yourself.  “Why does love make me hurt?  Love should make me happy and special, shouldn’t it?” Can you endure the all process of love?  Or are you a person who can endure all this hardship with great tolerance?  Nevertheless, why do we love?

Love, and After…

The time has gone, and there is nothing.
- Movie, In the Mood for Love

Love was over.  What is left to you?  In the middle of love, it looks eternal and you think it will never end.  What should we do?  Should we regret or stay with sorrow?  All the memories with him keep making you confused and frustrated.  Some of you can throw it off very easily, but faint reminiscence will be left.  Love always leaves the question, suffering and futility.  Regardless of these things, why do we love?

Sweet spring is your
time is my time is our
time for springtime is love time
and viva sweet love
- E.E.  Cummings

This exhibition could be a great healing for someone who is undergoing hardship in love as well as lovers who are in love right now.  We are always awkward in front of love, and it does not seem that love will give us a definite answer.  That’s why all the songs and movies about love keep the endless journey.  If you are confused for love, try say “love and you shall be loved.” It might be very close answer for us.
